Raul J. Ocampo received his J.D., with a concentration on corporate law, from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, CA in 2014, and his B.A. in English from California State University, Northridge. Mr. Ocampo has experience with employment matters, landlord-tenant disputes, personal injury matters, premises liability, and insurance defense, but presently focuses his practice on defending large corporations in consumer protection matters. Mr. Ocampo’s experience includes law and motion practice, all phases of discovery, corporate and expert depositions, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation.
Mr. Ocampo began his professional career at The Phillips Firm, in downtown L.A., focusing primarily on insurance defense matters for Farmers Insurance, while undertaking other business litigation. At The Phillips Firm, Mr. Ocampo was assigned the majority of the firm’s cases involving contract disputes and business litigation, handling all aspects of litigation, from corporate and expert depositions to several successful settlement negotiations. After The Phillips Firm, Mr. Ocampo went on to focus on personal injury matters that involved wrongful death and catastrophic injuries, as well as premises liability. At Loyola Law School, Mr. Ocampo served as an official writing tutor to fellow law students, worked as a securities and finance research assistant to Professor Carlos Berdejo, and served as a board member of the Business Law Society. Mr. Ocampo also volunteered at the Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic, assisting low-income applicants with citizenship applications and fee waivers. In 2014, Mr. Ocampo was awarded both the Association of Corporate Counsel Scholarship and the Mexican American Foundation Scholarship.
