Matthew D. Barzman is a trial attorney at the firm’s Downtown Los Angeles office. Mr. Barzman’s practice primarily focuses on labor and employment matters, commercial matters, general business litigation, and resolving corporate governance issues as well as partnership disputes. Mr. Barzman also handles general casualty litigation and product liability cases involving catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death.
As part of his practice, Mr. Barzman has represented public entities and their employees in matters involving allegations of dangerous roadway designs and maintenance, negligent vehicle operation, and other civil rights issues. Mr. Barzman also has a transactional practice which includes advisory and counseling service for businesses and individuals on corporate matters, as well as negotiating various agreements for services, the use and protection of intellectual property, and in the entertainment industry. Mr. Barzman currently serves as outside general counsel for a specialty design and fabrication company that provides a multitude of services across a wide array of industries. Mr. Barzman is a member of several professional associations, including the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and was a SideBar nominee for the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2017 and 2019. Mr. Barzman received his undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara in 2007, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2015. Mr. Barzman is admitted to practice law before all courts in the State of California and in the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California.
