Sanders Roberts LLP is pleased to announce that Ashley Bobo has joined the firm in its Los Angeles office. Ms. Bobo’s practice will focus on employment litigation and counseling.

As a litigator, Ms. Bobo defends both public and private employers in actions involving harassment, retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims. She has represented clients before administrative agencies, including Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Ms. Bobo has handled matters in a wide variety of industries including retail, manufacturing, hospitality, restaurants, airlines, healthcare, staffing and managed services, and private schools.  She regularly provides in-depth advice to employers on employment law compliance and litigation avoidance, including advice on employee exempt and non-exempt classification, independent contractor status, complex pay practices and policies, wage statements, leaves of absence, drug and alcohol testing, meal and rest periods, alternative workweek scheduling, personnel records, discipline, trade secret disputes, termination and severance agreements. She routinely guides employers in the development and implementation of employment practices, including drafting of employee handbooks, international policy manuals, employment leave documentation; and conducts sexual harassment and workplace investigations. She also represents designers, musicians, writers and other creatives with respect to independent contractor agreements, intellectual property rights and trade secret agreements, restrictive covenants and non-disclosure agreements, and compliance with the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.

Ms. Bobo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Harvard University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. During her time in law school, she helped write and secure passage of Senate Bill SB 382 – a California bill that focused on juvenile sentencing reform. In addition to her legislative work, Ms. Bobo was honored to serve as a campaign intern for Vice President Kamala Harris’s historical 2016 California Senate run.
