Allan Claybon has broad litigation experience representing clients in civil matters including business and commercial disputes, partnership disputes, employment matters (discrimination and wage-and-hour), and professional negligence. Allan has been responsible for all aspects of litigation and discovery, up to and including trial, in state court, federal court and administrative matters.
Allan also specializes in intellectual property (“IP”) and related matters including extensive work related
to trademark, copyright, entertainment and Internet law. He is a registered Patent Attorney with the
United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) with a background in the biological sciences and
technology. He has served as primary IP attorney for hundreds of companies in a variety of industries
assisting with the procurement, enforcement, and transfer of IP rights. This has included clients in the
hospitality, beverage, media, technology and apparel industries that ranged from individuals to start-ups
to Fortune 500 companies. Allan has also used his experience as a litigator to represent IP clients in
adversarial matters including cease-and-desist efforts, website takedowns, federal court litigation and
matters before the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Allan graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in Psychology and a minor in
Natural Science. He then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School
of Law.
