Ms. Martinez is a Los Angeles native with a wide range of professional experience, including as a member of the California Bar since 2009.  As Senior Counsel with Sanders Roberts LLP, she represents employers in employment law matters, including defending claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations.
Prior to joining Sanders Roberts in 2024, Ms. Martinez prosecuted cases on behalf of California workers against private employers as the principal of her employment law practice. Ms. Martinez managed a full case load from intake through trial readiness, including mediation advocacy, depositions, written discovery, and law and motion practice. She litigated matters through trial strategy, and preparation of witnesses, jury instructions, motions in limine, and opening statements.
Ms. Martinez brings her litigation skills, lived experience and keen sense of justice when representing her clients.  She is a bilingual and bicultural attorney, who prior to joining Sanders Roberts, LLP represented clients as diverse as immigrant monolingual Spanish speaking minimum wage workers to professionals working for Fortune 500 companies. In her varied professional roles, both as an attorney and before law school, Ms. Martinez has a track record of executing in highly sensitive and fast paced environments while providing results for her clients.
Ms. Martinez is a graduate of Princeton University and Southwestern Law School. Before embarking on her legal career, Ms. Martinez served as Associate Director of the Community Relations and Government Affairs group of a multinational oil and gas company, as a principal of a start-up company, and as a political appointee with the Clinton Administration in Washington, DC. There, she served as Special Assistant to the Cabinet Secretary at the White House, and to then United States Ambassador to the United Nations and later Secretary of Energy, the late, Hon. Bill Richardson.
