Jason Ziven is a litigator and entertainment attorney at Sanders Roberts LLP with a diverse background in business. His practice focuses on all aspects of business and employment litigation from inception to conclusion. His clients include Fortune 100 Companies, high-profile entertainers and public figures. He also advises musicians, writers, actors, and directors on entertainment transactions. Mr. Ziven was selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2025 Edition) in Entertainment and Sports Law. He was recognized as a ‘Legal Visionary’ in 2023 by the Los Angeles Times B2B Business of Law Magazine.
He was previously an attorney at a prominent litigation firm, where he successfully represented
plaintiffs in multiple employment and business disputes, and a leading global retail chain in its
transactional matters.
Mr. Ziven served as Director of Business Development at Mills Entertainment, a division of
Creative Artists Agency (“CAA”). Leading entertainment and sports agency CAA represents many
of the most successful and innovative professionals working in film, television, music, video games
and theater. While at Mills, Mr. Ziven negotiated multiple Licensing and Touring Agreements with
the largest entertainment companies and globally recognized talent, including Sony Pictures
Entertainment and Otter Media. Mr. Ziven also structured Sponsorship Agreements for national
tours with Fortune 500 companies, such as Toyota and Universal Pictures. Furthermore, he
managed relationships with multiple private law firms.
He launched his career as a member of the Summa Group at Oppenheimer & Co., a full-service
investment bank. The Summa division managed in excess of $1.5B for the world’s leading
entertainers and entrepreneurs. As a member of the Summa team, Mr. Ziven worked intimately
with established investment bankers, attorneys, business managers and talent managers to
further the interest of the firm’s clients.
Upon graduating law school, Mr. Ziven completed the Trial Advocacy Program in the office of the
Los Angeles City Attorney. As a prosecutor, Mr. Ziven tried multiple criminal cases to verdict.
A third-generation attorney and graduate of Harvard-Westlake, Mr. Ziven is an active member of the University of Pennsylvania’s Alumni Association and the Los Angeles Jewish Federation. He completed the Rautenberg New Leaders Project within the Jewish Federation, which is a highly selective year long program designed to groom emerging civic leaders in Los Angeles. Mr. Ziven
is a member of the ambassador circle for the Youth Renewal Fund, which provides low-income Israeli high school students, regardless of their ability, religion, birthplace, or geographic or socio-economic status, with access to excellent education.
Mr. Ziven is active in local, state and national politics, and has advised national political
campaigns on strategic initiatives. Leading entrepreneurs, investors, business executives and
political leaders regularly rely on Mr. Ziven for advice.
