Ms. Covington’s practice focuses primarily on employment law litigation, including
wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge
actions for private companies of all sizes as well as government entities.
Prior to joining Sanders Roberts LLP, Ms. Covington spent most of her career at a
boutique firm where she prosecuted and defended trademark, trade dress, design
patent, and copyright infringement claims on behalf of luxury and fashion companies. She also has experience processing and maintaining copyright and trademark applications, including successfully responding to Office Actions issued by the USPTO to obtain registrations for her clients. Her practice also consisted of right of publicity and business contract disputes and she was part of the legal team that earned a dismissal of Stormy Daniels’s defamation claim against Michael Cohen in 2019. She has practiced in both California state and federal courts as well as federal courts in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Utah, Oregon, South Carolina, and Indiana.
A Michigan native, Ms. Covington earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the
University of Michigan. Subsequently, she moved to California to attend law school at
Pepperdine University School of Law (now Pepperdine Caruso School of Law) where
she earned her Juris Doctorate.
