Raymond Perez, Jr.’s practice emphasizes real estate, personal injury, premises liability, business litigation, complex litigation, construction, and insurance matters for over twenty years. Mr. Perez presently represents the Cities of Los Angeles and Compton as well as Los Angeles Unified School District on personal injury and premises liability actions.
Mr. Perez joined Sanders Roberts LLP as Senior Counsel in 2021. Mr. Perez was previously Vice President and Trial Counsel for Fidelity National Law Group, serving as one of its lead trial attorneys in the in-house legal department of Fortune 300 company, Fidelity National Financial. He represented Fidelity National Financial and its family of title insurance and escrow companies, insured developers, lenders, and owners in title curative actions and escrow claims, residential and commercial real estate transactions, easement disputes, foreclosures, and lien priority issues. Mr. Perez has extensive 1st chair trial experience including appeals such as the published case – Hinrichs v. Melton (2017) 11 Cal.App.5th 516.
Mr. Perez also previously served as counsel for Fortune 100 supermarkets, Ralphs and Albertsons, and other grocers in California, as well as for Viacom Outdoor (now Outfront Media) on their personal injury defense and premises liability matters in California and Nevada.
Mr. Perez graduated with a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in History/Political Science from Concordia University, Irvine. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He is admitted to practice in the States of California, Illinois, and Nevada, as well as the District of Columbia. Mr. Perez is also admitted to practice in the federal district courts in California, Nevada, Illinois, and Colorado, as well as the First, Ninth, Eleventh, Federal Circuit, and United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. In 2004, he was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
