Toni Y. Long is a business and entertainment transactional attorney. Toni’s entertainment practice focuses on several areas, including production, talent representation, motion picture, television and new media development, distribution, licensing, and private equity investment. She represents writers, directors, and producers for scripted and unscripted series and feature films, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various production agreements..
 

Toni provides production attorney services to television production companies and independent film producers as their production counsel. She advises independent film producers during all phases of production, including content rights acquisition, director, writer, producer, and cast deals, LLC operating agreements, private placement memoranda, subscription agreements, and distribution and sales agent agreements.

 

Her clients include award-winning writers, directors, producers, and production companies, including an Emmy Award winning director, an Academy Award nominated director, an NAACP Award winning producer, a Tony award winning actress/producer, a Telly Award winning writer/producer/director, and several published authors.

 

Toni’s business and corporate practice focuses on corporate governance, maintenance and formation, asset / stock purchases and sales, securities, and other corporate issues, as well as serving as general corporate counsel to clients across a variety of industries. She has collaborated with other attorneys and counseled clients on complex M&A and financing transactions totaling more than $400 million. Toni advises a broad range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, start ups / emerging businesses, non-profit corporations, licensed professionals, and family-owned businesses.
