Ms. Raj is a Senior Counsel in the Firm’s Employment Practice Group. She has over 15 years of litigation experience representing employers in single and multi-plaintiff actions involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, fraud, breach of contract and trade secret claims.
Ms. Raj also has significant experience defending wage and hour class actions, involving claims relating to misclassification, meal/rest breaks, overtime and off-the-clock work.
Ms. Raj provides practical and business-focused advice on wage and hour compliance and proactive strategies to manage litigation risk and ensure compliance under both state and federal law. She also helps employers conduct self-audits to identify and remedy compliance gaps and areas of increased risk including independent contractor misclassification, exempt status and overtime issues, before the Department of Labor (DOL). She also counsels employers on matters involving disability accommodations, engaging in the interactive process, leaves of absences, reduction in force, employee theft, employee terminations and conducting workplace investigations stemming from internal complaints including sexual harassment complaints.
Ms. Raj also represents employers before various administrative bodies including the Civil Rights Department, Equal Employment Opportunity Counsel, Department of Labor, OSHA, Employment Development Department, and Department of Industrial Relations.
She represents employers in state and federal court as well as arbitration, and depending on client’s goals, she resolves many disputes through mediation and settlement negotiations.

Prior to joining Sanders Roberts, Ms. Raj defended employers while working at some of the largest law firms including Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Jackson Lewis PC, and Reed Smith LLP.
