G. Martin Velez graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986 with a degree in Economics. He received his law degree in 1993 from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was a member of the Iowa Law Review and the Moot Court Board.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Velez worked as a deputy district attorney for the Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office and as a public defender for the Sonoma County Public Defender’s Office.

Mr. Velez is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California, the United States District Court, Northern and Eastern Districts, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
