Melvin Felton, II is a Partner at Sanders Roberts LLP. He represents corporations and individuals in a wide range of employment and business litigation matters. Mr. Felton has extensive experience advising in all stages of litigation, mediation, and arbitration, having successfully resolved nearly 200 matters in a variety of different industries, including construction, professional services, retail, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and real estate.

Mr. Felton is very active within the legal community. He is the President of the Langston Bar Association and teaches the Legal Aspects of Human Resource Administration at California State University, Long Beach. Mr. Felton has spoken on panels regarding important employment cases and voir dire strategies. He has been published on numerous employment law-related issues.

Mr. Felton is a recipient of the National Bar Association’s 2022 “40 under 40 Nation’s Best Advocates” award. The LA Times b2b recognized him as a 2022 “Legal Visionary” in the Business of Law Magazine. He was recognized among the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 and 2024 ‘Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys’ and among the Los Angeles Business Journal’s ‘2021 Leaders in Law Nominees.’ The Daily Journal named him to its prestigious list of 2021 ‘Top 40 Lawyers Under Age 40’. Mr. Felton was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® (2025 Edition) in the area of Litigation – Labor & Employment. Mr. Felton was recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2024 and as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2020-2023; In 2023, Mr. Felton was recognized among the Top 100 Super Lawyers Rising Stars. The National Bar Association and Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association have also recognized Mr. Felton for legal excellence.

Mr. Felton earned a BA from the University of Southern California, and a juris doctor from Columbia Law School.
