12 Jan Sanders Roberts LLP Trial Team Wins Defense Verdict
Sanders Roberts, LLP recently achieved a significant trial victory for one of its clients, a community hospital. Following a three-week trial, the jury unanimously found that the community hospital was not liable after deliberating for only 20 minutes. The plaintiff, a surgical technician, was terminated due to multiple violations of the hospital’s workplace violence policy. He then filed a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination, discrimination and retaliation in violation of various labor and government codes. During trial, the plaintiff demanded $19 Million in damages. The trial team was led by Reginald Roberts, Jr. and Eric Mintz, with significant contributions from attorneys Kellen Nelson, Craig Farner and Christine Said and paralegals Marilyn Perez-Garcia and Cecilia Quiroz Garcia.
